Maurice Turmel holds a PhD degree in Counseling Psychology, along with a Masters and Honors B.A. in Psychology. He was a practicing therapist for nearly 25 years providing counseling and therapy to individuals, families, and organizations.
Maurice (AKA Dr Moe) has led seminars in the areas of Creativity, Self-Development, Spiritual & Psychological Awareness, Self-Expression, Passion and Purpose and Grief & Loss.
He is the author of The Voice – A Metaphor for Personal Development, and the E-Books: Parables on Grief & Loss and Parables for A Modern Age. He has been a guest on numerous regional television and radio talk shows in

In both his speaking and written creations, Dr. Moe enjoys bringing messages of Hope, Inspiration, and Self-Awareness to audiences eager for something Life-Affirming and Uplifting in their lives; for individuals who want to find new direction and new ways of expressing themselves to continue making a contribution to their families and community.
Creativity, he believes, is everyone’s potential, having learned this lesson himself as an Academic Professional turned Artist. “For some of us,” he acknowledges, “creativity comes along later in Life. But what an opportunity to give of oneself, and further define that Self as we grow older. What better legacy is there to pass on to our children and grandchildren, than ‘permission’ to create, to express that unique Self that is our gift from the Creator to be grown into our gift to the World.”
